| Implement strict traffic rules particularly on plying of 'school buses: DB | | | Jammu, Feb21 (JNF): A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Hasnain Massodi in a much public interest litigation regarding ban on tinted/black films and implementation of traffic rules, directed State government to file a status report with regard to the strict implementation of the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act with particular emphasis on plying of school busses and other vehicles. After hearing both the sides observed, the Chief Justice MM Kumar in the open court observed that in response to earlier order, a status report earlier filed claiming compliance to the direction issued by Division Bench, indicated that no heed has been paid to the comprehensive direction noticed which incorporate the direction issued by Apex Court. "There is no explanation tendered with regard to the concern noted that the Escorts vehicles do not carry any registration number on the plates displayed on the government vehicles, court observed. Senior AAG Gagna Basotra appearing for seeking time asked the status report shall be filed within three weeks. On the other hand Sanjeev Kapoor counsel for the PIL raised issued that a tragic accident crushing a teen age student of DPS School has taken place on February 7, 2013 and maintained this is the result of old vehicles which are pressed in service and lack of vigilance by the traffic police.
