| Budget session to begin on Feb 28 in same complex | | | | JAMMU, Feb 21: Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani, today inspected the restoration work carried on the historic Legislative complex here this afternoon. The executing agency giving details of the repair and restoration works informed the Minister that the complex is now fully prepared to hold the proceedings of assembly during the ensuing budget session commencing from 28th Feb. The session will begin with the Governor's address to the members of both the houses in the Central Hall as per the tradition and the election of speaker has also been scheduled on the same day according to a notification issued from Raj Bhawan. Wani expressed satisfaction that the restoration work has been completed well in time. The Minister also inspected arrangements put in place for conduct of proceedings and it's coverage by the media. He inspected the press Gallery and other Galleries and Chambers to be functional during the assembly session. He directed Director Estates to ensure befitting furnishing arrangements in the complex. Secretary Legislative Assembly, Director Estates, MD JKPCC, GM JKPCC, Executive engineers and other officials accompanied the Minister. |
