| FIR against HSS activist for damaging Sarwal hospital | | Patient death issue | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 21: Sarwal police today arrested activist of Hindu Shiv Sena for his alleged involvement to incite his cadres to damage government property during a protest against the alleged medical negligence of doctor. He was booked under section 336 RPC, at athe same time hospital authorities taking cognizance has ordered inquiry against the doctor who is alleged for medical negligence. According to the sources the steps were taken following the protest by relatives of the deceased and some activists of HSS in Sarwal Hospital, here today. "The protestors who put the body in front of Sarwal Hospital started raising slogans against authorities and later the situation took ugly turn when some of protestors went on rampage besides damaging other equipment in the hospital. When contacted senior doctor at the said hospital said that the deceased was somewhere under gone surgery for some problems in his gall-bladder on January 10 at Govt Hospital Sarwal and he went home after recovering from his problem. He further questioned as the death of the patient took place after nearly two months at his home and how this can be termed as medical negligence. He further said that that there are some vested interest persons who for the sake of political career leveled serious allegations against the doctor Meanwhile, taking cognizance in this regard Director Health Jammu has ordered inquiry against Surgeon Shyam Gupta who operated the patient namely Jai Krishan son of Inder Sharma of Sarwal . |
