Jammu, Feb 21: The Pentavalent Immunization was launched in Gandhi Nagar hospital by minister Health Shabir Khan. The minister was accompanied by Director Health Madhu Khallur, Drug Controller Dr. Satish Gupta, Medical Superintendent Gandhi Nagar hospital Dr Romesh Gupta, Madam Nahida besides other doctors.
Children below age of one year were immunized free of cost on the occasion. Later speaking on the occasion, minister laying stress on healthy nation said that immunization help children to curb five deadly diseases.
The Medical Superin-tendent Dr Romesh Gupta giving information said that under Pentavalent Immunization a child below the age group of one year is to be immunized with just three injections to curb five deadly diseses. He further said that earlier the course was of nine injections. |
