Jammu, Mar 5 : Lashing out at the ruling National Conference for creating ruckus in the Assembly today and disrupting the proceedings of the House, senior Panthers Party legislator, Harshdev Singh said, that it was unprecedented in the parliamentary democracy that treasury benches created ruckus and did not allow transaction of the normal business of the Assembly. While talking to a selected group of media persons in the Central Hall of the legislature here on Tuesday Harshdev said, "it is for the first time that ruling party disrupted the proceedings of the House. This is unprecedented in the history and has never happened before. In the morning they got into the well of the House and did not allow the House to function as result normal business could not be conducted." "We are the representatives of the people and people expect us to raise and discuss their problems here and find solutions," he said and added that due to the behavior of ruling party the normal business could not be transacted and even Question Hour was disrupted. In reply to a question regarding Muzaffar Beg's remarks that CM was a daily wager, Harshdev said, "if Beg has made any comment which they believe is disrespectful then they should talk to him because Beg has not made statement inside the house but outside it, therefore they should settle their personal scores outside the house. There is no point in disrupting the proceedings of the House at this moment. It has never happened in the history of this state or any other state that the ruling party disrupted the proceedings of the House." "Since it is ruling party that is disrupting the House, that is why we have decided that entire opposition will stage walk out and let the ruling party stage demonstration at their will," he said. |
