| Horra Ashtami celebrated | | | Et Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 5 : Horra Ashtami (Hur Ahtem) was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety today by the Kashmiri Shayak Samiti, Trikuta Nagar Jammu at K P Bhawan. The function started with Decoration (Pooja) of Mata Sharika, Bhajan-Kirtan was held by the ladies of the community and a special Bhajan Sandhya was orgnised by the samiti with singing of devotional songs-leelas by Rajesh Khar and Party. Later ceremonial "Atta Ghat" and Salt was distributed amongst the women folk to commemorate Kashmiri ethos and traditional rituals. While concluding, the president of the Samiti, Er Lokesh Ganju wished a happy and prosperous "Herath" (Shivratri) to all the Biradri members. |
