Annantnag, Mar 9: Srinagar based Army general; GOC Chinar Corps on Saturday avoided all the questions of journalists regarding the present prevailing situation of Kashmir, at flagging in ceremony of Taxi drivers tour here in South Kashmir's Anantnag distrcit. GOC Chinar Corps Lt. General Om Prakash, today arrived in Anantnag to flag off the Taxi drivers tour at 10 'o' clock but soon after addressing the gathering of taxi drivers of the district and their family members, General during the media interaction on the sidelines of the function avoided questions regarding prevailing situation of Kashmir and its role in the situation. However, he didn't skip the moment to request people for maintaining peace in the valley. "Leave it today" General told a reporter after they asked him to react on the demand of Baramullah people regarding withdrawal of forces camps from the area. Earlier addressing gathering of Tour participants, he said, "Tour is aimed to provide you an opportunity to know the diversity of nation and be the peace ambassadors for valley as you people have played a role in critical positions by continuing your profession." |
