Akshay Azad JAMMU, Mar 9: Giving a damn to the directions of General Administrative Department (GAD), around fifteen government departments have not forwarded the vacancies to GAD for Combined Services Competitive Examination, after a lapse of around two months, since the inception of process. Sources informed Early Times that the state government had initiated the process for identifying vacancies for Combined Services Competitive Examination in the last week of December 2012, and had asked all the departments to send their vacancies. "One week time was given to all departments including Police, Accounts and sixteen other departments for sending the vacant administrative level posts to GAD" they said, adding that in the first week only one department including Accounts had forwarded the posts. Annoyed over the casual approach of departments, the GAD shot a reminder to all departments for sending the posts, sources said, adding that the reminder of GAD made no change in the casual attitude of majority of departments, except Jammu and Kashmir Police and one other, which forwarded the posts after reminder. "Due to delay in sending of the posts by various departments, the GAD is not able to refer these posts to PSC for advertisement" sources said, adding that the GAD had also convened a high level meeting of all the heads of departments, following which second reminder was also sent to departments, but of no avail. "Presently the GAD department is waiting for vacancies in various departments. The process will take some more time as the assembly session is on and shortly the GAD will again convene a meeting and will direct all departments to forward posts" sources said. After getting vacancies from all the departments, the GAD will refer the posts to Public Service Commission for advertising of the same. The PSC will advertise the posts with the mandatory provision for reservation under various categories, sources added. |
