ET Plus Report jammu, Mar 16: All Jammu and Kashmir Central Para Military Force Welfare Association (CPMFWA), today expressed deep sorrow over the killing of five CRPF personnel in the militant attack in Srinagar. According to handout issued by CPMFWA, its General Secretary Darshan Kumar, addressing a meeting at Upper Paloura Camp condemned the attack saying it was high time for India to initiate hard steps to dismantle such forces and demanded that India should have a firm policy towards terrorism as the time has come for the country to crush terrorism in its bud not to merely issuing soft statements which will not serve the purpose. He criticized the state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other leaders of the state who have not paid homage to the deceased jawans of CRPF. Advisor Netar Singh has also raised question to extend the pension of CPMF to the 70 per cent defence as per Defence Ministry and government should also provide medical facilities as the defence force. Meanwhile, they also announced to launch a protest demonstration on April 15 next month against the government for not addressing the demands and issues of the retired personnel of J&K Para Military Forces. Those who were present on the occasion included O P Sharma, District President Ram Lal Dogra, Thoru Ram, Ajit Singh, Faqir Singh and others. |
