Rana exhorts youth to be part of change sweeping across world

JAMMU, Mar 16: Emphasizing the crucial need for paradigm shift among future managers, Provincial President National Conference Devinder Singh Rana today advised young people to be part of the world instead of being area specific.
"In this fast changing world, you have to be part of it and get adapted to change", Rana told the students of JU Business School while addressing an interactive session during Industry Academia Interface on the theme 'Shaping Young Minds' held in University Campus. He highlighted significance of aptitude in career development and asked the youngsters to do what they feel like doing.
However, he exhorted them to be steadfast in their resolve in order to create a niche for themselves in the new world. Rana asked the youngsters to face the challenges of changing world with resilience and make their presence felt at the global level. 'This is necessary for their growth and development', he said. Rana said that India is a fast emerging market but has miles to go before it become happening market place of the world.
He said and exhorted the young managers to strive hard to make this happen. The Provincial President said Indians have to work hard, get economy on rails and maintain a pro-active pace with global economic dynamics if GDP rate has to be taken above 5 per cent. Striking a personal chord with the future managers, Mr Rana said that no business school would make them successful leaders of the corporate sector unless they go for self appraisals to know their strengths and weak points. "After doing that highlight your strengths, know yourself very well and focus on your target", he asked them while advising no to get disheartened by failures, which he described as part of odyssey to success. He asked them to imbibe the spirit of confidence and not to remain dependent on crutches. P. Dwarikanath, Director, Human Resource Group Max India delivered a keynote address while Dhananjay Singh, Executive Director National Human Resource Development dwelt on the salient features of the Industry Academic Interface, which will be spread in different session. Prof. Versha Mehta, Director, The Business School welcomed the guests to the conference and emphasized the need to strengthen the linkages between industry and academia by bringing about new initiatives and providing platform where students can develop skill sets that are needed by the industry.
Prof Kulwant Kour, Dean Research also spoke on the occasion while Prof Keshaw Sharma presented vote of thanks. Prof. Neelu Rohmetra and Prof. Ashok Aima were also present on the occasion. Devender Singh Rana also released Placement Brochure of the Business School on the occasion. He and other dignitaries were presented mementos by the organizers.
