Early Times Report Rajouri, Mar 16 : District Red Cross Society (DRCS) Rajouri today deputed 27 Asha and Anganwadi workers for their training to under Rural Health Project, Maharashtra. Chairman DRCS and Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Saugat Biswas, flagged off a team of 27 Asha workers and Anganwadi workers from across the district Rajouri for a seven days training programme at Comprehensive Rural Health Project at Jamkhed, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Biswas stated that this tour expected to play the most vital role in bringing about a paradigm shift in community health care while involving the community in its various aspects. He stated that the District Red Cross had selected Comprehensive Rural Health Project, Jamkhed (CRHP), as the training ground because CRHP has been working among the rural poor and marginalized for over forty years and has become an organization that has been empowering people to eliminate injustices through integrated efforts in health and development. He stated that the objective of the training is to expose the participants to the Jamkhed Model and equip them in various facets of community Health Programme implementation there-by motivated gross-root leaders. |
