Jammu, Mar 16: Flouting the Supreme Court directions banning use of music systems in public transport vehicles, the matadors and buses plied at various rural routes are found using the same rampantly, causing nuisance and increasing risk of accidents. It has been observed that in several rural routes, the matador and bus drivers are violating the norms with impunity and there was no check by the authorities over this issue. "Complaints are pouring in from rural as well as in city routes, wherein vulgar songs are being played by drivers. There are instances where we and especially our daughters and female get irritated by these songs" a passenger Ali Mohammad said. He further alleged that whenever any women or girl get entered into matadors or buses, these drivers generally increased the volume of songs only to attract them but these women get depressed. "We are fail to understand, why the authorities are not taking any action to curb this menace which is increasing, despite so many legislations but our government has failed to follow the same" Rohit Sharma said. People blamed the concerned authorities for maintaining cryptic silence on their part which resulted in severe problem for the passengers. |
