Jammu, July 2 : Employees of Food Corporation of India (FCI) from different godowns today suspended the food grains handling operations and protested in front of different godowns against the derogatory language used by Area Manager Jammu against field staff.
According to the press release lying with ETP, the Area Manager had earlier directed the field staff not to visit the D.O. office without prior permission. Union leaders of the Corporation, according to the release have also criticized the order issued and said that employees cannot be stopped to visit the D.O. Jammu office.
Union leadership has also demanded withdrawal of the order and warned that if the genuine demands of employees would not be fulfilled up to 07-08-2013, then a protest demonstration would be held before the D.O. Office Jammu on 08-08-2013.
Those who addressed the gathering included R L Sharma, Chamail Singh, Surinder Kumar Sharma, Joginder Singh Chib, Bhanu Pratap, Bhoj Raj, Amarjit Singh and many others. |
