JAMMU, Aug 2: Website, the online information provider of the highest sports body of the state, J&K State Sports Council earns a bad name to the organization by giving wrong information to those accessing the link.
The website was created with the sole aim of providing day to day happenings of the sports organization to those associated with sports within and outside the state, but its poor updating defeated the purpose.
Posting just the history of the Council, its affiliated sports units and organisational set-up that too without updating serves no purpose.
"I came to know from a friend of mine that the State Sports Council has created a website of its own. Soon after accessing the link-Members--to find the list of new members, I was surprised to find a list of old members. I felt bad about the non-serious approach of the Sports Council," International footballer from Jammu, Arun Malhotra, who serves with ONGC, told.
"Led by none else but Chief Minister of the State as its president, the autonomous sports body of State Sports Council must set an example for others to follow by making good use of the technology," maintained State Sports Award winner, Arun. |
