Congress demands apology from Kamaal
8/2/2013 10:54:40 PM

Et Report
Jammu, Aug 2 : Taking strong exception to the highly indecent and abusive utterances of Dr. Mustafa Kamaal against Congress party and its leadership, several senior congress leaders have demanded apology from the National Conference leadership and expulsion of Dr. Mustafa Kamaal from the party. In a meeting chaired by veteran Congress leader, freedom fighter, Ex-MLA and President District Congress Committee Jammu Om Chopra, several Congressmen said that indecencies on the part of Dr. Mustafa Kamaal and some other leaders have become a culture of the people of his class, which is totally intolerable. He has been abusing the Congress party and its cadres and simply to reject it on some few occasions by his party is not enough and rather, there appears a deliberate designs to vitiate the atmosphere and desteplize the coalition and malign the image of Congress party. Dr. Mustafa Kamaal should know that they are in power because of Congress support. The present coalition has neither been imposed by the Congress party nor its compulsion to be in the government. A person like Mustafa Kamaal can never come out of his myopic and perverted thinking to understand the policies and history of the great party like Congress. Congress is a secular movement having history of more than 125 years of sacrifices for achieving freedom for the country and making its unity and integrity. In view of this the National Conference should immediately expel Dr. Mustafa Kamaal form the party and offer an apology to Congress leadership and its cadres, failing which the Congress workers will approach the party high command to review its relationship with the National Conference. The Congress workers also request its ministers in the coalition to stay away from the cabinet meetings until apology is offered.
Several senior leaders besides office bearers of District Congress Committee and Block presidents attended the meeting.
