Sports Reporter JAMMU, Aug 2: General Secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K, Ram Khajuria has been selected as a Judge of the 19th National Sport Climbing Championship scheduled to be held at Bangalore from October 28 to October 31. As per communication received from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), New Delhi, the apex body for adventure sports in the country, Khajuria, one of the senior most qualified national judges, is among the five judges selected by IMF from across the country for the conduct of the event. The other judges are Ajit Kushe, Parkash Kelshekar (both international judges from Maharashtra), Irani Saikia (Assam) Debabrata Mukherjee (West Bengal). Akash Ganesh (Kanataka) shall be trainee judge. Khajuria, who is also secretary of Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee, has been President of Jury of North Zone Sport Climbing Competitions for a number of years. He is a former member of IMF and presently a member of J&K State Sports Council. |
