Jammu, Aug 2: Van Mahotsav was celebrated in Army Public School Akhnoor with pomp and show. Chairperson AWWA Padmashree Patnaik was the chief guest while Sumita Dey was guest of honour.
The Function started with cultural programme and speech on the subject. 800 trees of various varieties were planted by students, teachers in the school campus. The plantation drive started with first tree planted by the chief guest.
Talk on Vanmahotsav was given by Rattan Singh from Brahamkumariies Akhnoor. Chairman Brig SK Dey and Principal KCS Mehta receive the chief guest and guest of honour. Other prominent persons who plant trees were Col VK Sharma, Col VLM Mohan, Col Randhawa, Lt Col SK Sharma. Padmashree Patnaik interacted with students and advised them to take lot of interest in academic and other activities as students are future of our nation. |
