| MLC Jugal urges Guv to raise infrastructure at Machail Mata | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 2: Expressing concerns over the plight of pilgrims to Shri Machail Mata in Kishtwar, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of the State Legislative Council, during his interaction with N N Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan the official residence of Governor on raised the issue and appealed him to create some infrastructure at the shrine. During his meeting, MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma urges Governor of state who also is chairman Shri Mata Vaishnio Devi Board to create basic infrastructure for pilgrims at Shri Machial Mata Kishtwar. He urged the Governor of State to create some basic facilities for the pilgrims at Mata Machail Kishtwar which is attracting over 2 lakh devotees every year but unfortunately sans basic facilities. In his fervent appeal to Governor, MLC appealed Governor to create some boarding and lodging accommodation at a holy shrine in Machail in KIshtwar. Making a humble appeal to Governor, Congress MLC urged him to promote the religious places within the sector i.e. be it Mata Machail, Shri Vaishno Devi, Shiv Khori and Shri Budha Amarnath so that more and more tourists and devotees can be attracted towards these spots. MLC discussed with the Governor of State several important matters relating to the development of Katra and its surrounding areas. They also discussed issues which would suddenly emerge after Katra rail link starts operating, particularly the need to widen the road to the Railway Station, lose no more time in establishing a modern Bus Stand with adequate facilities to meet the requirements of the progressively increasing number of pilgrims of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji.
