Kishtwar, Aug 2: Keeping up with essence and spirit of Iftaar, Army's 8-Rashtriya Rifles Battalion organised Iftaar for poor and deprived people of Bonjwah, Saroor and Keshwan at Patnazi, Bimalnag and Shergwari of Kishtwar respectively. Speaking on the occasion, Imam Jamia Madjid Bonjwah Molvi Nazir Ahmed said that Allah showers his blessings on Muslims at the time of Iftaar. He said that giving Iftaar meal is also very rewarding and added that feeding a fasting person is much more rewarding. He said that when some of the blessed companion said that they were not so rich as to give Iftar meal to a fasting person, then the Holy Prophet replied; "The rewards will be given even to a person who gives a date as Iftar or who provides water to break the fast or who offer a little milk". The initiative of the Army was widely lauded by locals among both Muslim as well as Hindu communities. |
