ET REPORT Kathua Aug 14: Former Minister Babu Singh condemned the state government's negligence and failure to handle the situation in Kishtwar which later deteriorated law and order situation in other districts resulting into loss of lives and property. While addressing a public meeting in Panchayat Badala, at Kathua here today former minister expressed full solidarity with aggrieved families who lost their kin in Kishtwar clashes and flayed inaction of the state government to act in time in Kishtwar by allowing sufficient time to the rioters. Babu Singh also demanded compensation of Rs 25 lacs and a govt job to the affected families who have lost their kin in violent clashes and to those who have lost their property. At the same time he condemned the Pakistan for continually targeting Indian posts in Samba Border and Loc in Poonch creating instability and insecurity among people living along Border and Line of Control (LoC). He also appealed to the responsible people to protest this heinous action, in a peaceful manner so that the nefarious designs of communal groups or any agencies could be befittingly defeated. Sarpanch Yash Paul Raina, Sarpanch Kuldip Singh, Dr. Karam Chand, Kali Dass, Madhan Lal Sharma, Bala Ram and several others were present on the occasion. |
