Court grants interim bail to person arrested for defying curfew

Jammu, Aug 14: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Kartar Singh Wednesday granted interim bail to one Rajesh Gupta who was arrested by the police of Bakshi Nagar for defying curfew.
Police report revealed that the petitioner was in custody since August 11 for the commission of offences falling u/s 153-A/436/188/147/148/149/427 RPC for violating the curfew restrictions and breaking open a shop at Subash Nagar near Parshotam Building and setting it on fire. The Court after hearing Advocate Baldev Singh for the petitioner and APP for the State observed that keeping in view of the facts and circumstances, the petitioner is admitted to interim bail on furnishing his bail bond and personal bond of amount Rs 20000 each to the satisfaction of the IO with the direction that he shall regularly attend the investigation from 10 AM to 5 PM daily.
