| Kathua organisations condemn killing of journalist, rape of photo journalist | | | early times report
Kathua, Aug 25: Various organizations of Kathua strongly condemned the killing of a journalist of Hindi paper in Uttar Pradesh and gang rape of a 23 year old photo journalist in Mumbai three days back.
New Hope Trust, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Kranti Dal held a joint meeting at Kathua here today under the leadership of senior Congress leader S Manohar Singh,
state secretary of Pradesh Congress Committee Jammu Kashmir Rattan Chand Karotra and District president of Kranti Dal Advocate Sushil Gupta to condoled the death a UP based journalist of Hindi daily and observed two minutes silence to pray for peace of his departed soul.
They also protested the gang rape of a Mumbai based photo journalist. While expressing the solidarity with the aggrieved families of both journalists they demanded an adequate security cover for the protection of journalists and an adequate compensation should also be given to the governments of the respective states. |
