| Army organizes vocational training programme | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 25: Army has organized a 15-days long vocational training programme for the women between the age group of 18-40 at Rane Hawai Patti (ALG) at Rajouri which will conclude on September 3. A senior army officer from army division said that 15 days long vocational training for 25 women between age group of 18-40 years will culminate on September 3 and these women will be trained for basic cutting and stitching of various types of dresses. "The main motive of this training project is to teach them the basics of sewing and thereby help them to be become financially independent and earn their livelihood" said a senior officer. He further added that the project provides them all essential items required for stitching such as cloth, scissors, sewing accessories for free. Army sources said that classes are being conducted daily for the women and they are showing keen interest in learning and are taking active participation. A dedicated instructor has been appointed to teach them according to the schedule who is teaching how to stitch the different styles and types of dresses for both men, women and children are being taught. |
