Kathua, Aug 25: New Hope Trust and Bharat Vikas Parishad jointly launched a plantation drive which was inaugurated by Secretary Pradesh Congress committee S Manohar Singh and General Manager CTM Industry Kathua on Sunday.
Number of varieties of plant saplings was rooted in ground by more than 100 activists of both organizations in order to carry out the beautification of the cremation ground (Shamshan Ghat) at Kathua. The leaders of the project Development of Cremation Ground, Sardar Manohar Singh, Rattan Chand Karotra, Professor Ram Murty and Advocate Sushil Gupta addressed the media and activists of both the organizations. They also urged the people of Kathua to come forward voluntarily for the development of cremation ground so that its beautification and infrastructure could be carried out at the cremation ground behind the ITI Kathua.
