Jammu, Aug 29: Students of MAM PG College on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against alleged remarks of a spokesperson of Asaram Bapu, comparing the self-styled godman with Guru Nanak Dev. Raising slogans against Asaram Bapu, the enraged student protesters burnt the effigy of Asaram to show their anguish. The demonstrators demanded apologies from the self-proclaimed godman. Lucky Singh, told that the Sikh community was demanding unconditional apology from Asaram Bapu for his remarks. He further demanded from the mayor Krishna Murari Moghe that name of the Asaram Bapu square should be changed and should re-christened behind any martyr. He further said that the community would continue to protest against the religious guru unless he tenders an unconditional apology for his remarks. "We demand the arrest of the spokesperson and strongest action against Asaram," he added. Others who were present on the occasion included Gagan, Ramneek Sanpreet, Sukhvinder, Vikas and others.
