Jammu, Aug 29: Employees of Food Corporation of India (FCI) under the banner of BKNK Sangh, held a token strike in front of FCI Regional Office Jammu here today alleging mismanagement at the hands of present incumbent DGM-FCI. Members of FCI Executive Staff Union and FCI Class-IV Employees Union suspended work in all FCI establishments in entire J&K State from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. They were protesting against the high handedness of Jaydeep Kachhap, DGM(R) who is threatening FCI Staff daily on one pretext or other. Leveling serious allegations against of corrupt practices, the protestors said, "A few days back DGM visited FSD Chatha and threatened entire staff and officer why they have not visited to him for the last three months. Protestors also alleged that he also had threatened them of dire consequences if they go ahead with struggle against him. They also said that staff members have already submitted a complaint before higher authorities for conducting impartial an way in the matter, but response in this regard is still awaited. "J&K Region staff would intensify the agitation, the protestors said further adding, "higher authorities would be responsible for disruption of FCI work." Meanwhile protestors also burnt the effigy of DGM -FCI to register their resentment against the said authority of the department.
