| Jammu boys, girls advance in hockey | | | Sports Reporter JAMMU, Aug 29: Jammu district boys and girls won their respective matches to advance in the inter-district (under-17) state level hockey tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at KK Hakhu Stadium, here today. In boys section, Jammu trounced district Budgam by two goals nil. Ramandeep scored both the goals. In another match of the day, Srinagar boys defeated district Samba by a solitary goal in sudden death. District Baramulla also won their tie played against Ganderbal beating latter 4-0. Meanwhile, in girls section, Jammu beat district Budgam by two goals to nil in tie-breaker. District Poonch also won their match played against Baramulla beating latter 5-0 in a one-sided contest. Afsana and Mridhu Sharma netted three and two goals respectively. GYMNASTICS: Artistic: Boys: U-14: Udhay, Kathua, Ist; Vatsal, Kathua, 2nd and Akhil, Kathua, 3rd.
