Unemployed youth slam Govt's new recruitment policy
SSB screening test for district cadre posts on Sep 14

Kishtwar, Sept 5: Unemployed youth turned in huge numbers outside Dak Banglow Kishtwar for collecting their admit cards for September 14, 2013 screening test for various District posts with 10+2 as basic qualification. However, they slammed the new government recruitment policy under which all the unemployed youth appointed by the government will get monthly salary at par with basic pay for first five years.
Heavy rush of unemployed youth have been witnessed in almost all District of the state where the JKSSB has advertised the post in different departments including Teachers in Education Department and VLWs in Rural Development Department. Overall the unemployed youth termed the new recruitment policy as anti-youth and said that government plays with the sentiments of over 6 lakh unemployed youths registered through different unemployment exchange in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to "Early times" the youth said that new recruitment policy was a cruel joke who have no alternative but to seek a government job. They also slammed the government for its failure to motivate the private companies to establish their business in the state.
They also criticized the government for forcing "Tata Photon" to windup its services from the state of Jammu and Kashmir rendering over 40000 youth unemployed. They said that under present era of price hike, it is not easy for a common man to survive and added that fixation of salary at par with basic pay is not a genuine thing and cannot be justified.
Some unemployed youths said that their family has taken loan for their studies which is getting costlier with each passing day. They urged upon the government to have a relook at new employment policy with regard to fixation of monthly salary.
They , however, hailed the screening test under which every aspirant will have to appear in 3 hour duration examination with question paper having 100 marks objective type answers touching different subjects including General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Geography, History, Social Science, Mathematics, Science and other subjects. All the candidates who qualified the said exam will be called for an interview before making the appointment.
