| Dogra Front, Shiv Sena workers protest against non availability of ration | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 5: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena J&K under the leadership of its president Ashok Gupta took out a procession here against the non availability of ration at the CAPD stores. They said that though they have deposited the money with the govt still the ration has not been provided to them. "Due to the non availability of ration with the dealers the poor people are suffering," they said. Gupta stated that in Jammu 600 gms of sugar is being distributed to the people while 6 kgs of sugar is being distributed in Kashmir. "Wet flour is being distributed to the people by the CAPD department which shows the complete lack of responsibility on the part of J&K govt," he said. "Food Security Bill has been passed by the government of India to provide rice, flour, pulses sugar to the poor people at a very cheap rate so that they don't have to starve for the food. But on the contrary the CAPD department is supplying inedible flour to the people which shows the callousness on the part of the J&K govt," he alleged. Gupta further stated that due to the appreciation in the price of Dollar against the Rupee the price of essential commodities is touching sky. Gupta warned the people who are involved in black marketing that they will take the matter in their own hands. The workers those who participated in the protest included Vikram Sharma, Suran Singh, Rahul Kumar, Nanak Chand, Ram Das and others.
