Mustansir SRINAGAR, Sept 5: Strong protests rocked Dooru and its adjoining areas against the alleged kidnapping of young girl, reported missing for last two weeks now. A 12th standard girl student (name withheld) was allegedly kidnapped by one Jamshait Raja of R S Pora, Jammu, reportedly two weeks back. Incidentally Jamshait is also missing since the day the abduction of took place, reports said. After having failed to trace their daughter, the parents, reported the matter to the Dooru police few days back. After lodging an FIR, Dooru police deputed a team of police officials which was sent to RS Pora along with some relatives of the missing girl. Reports said that on Wednesday morning one of the girl's relatives called from R S Pora saying that girl has been murdered and there was no trace of either the girl or the alleged kidnapper. He is also reported to have blamed police for not cooperating with the Dooru police in tracing the whereabouts of the duo. The news about the alleged murder of the girl spread like wild fire in the area and people in large numbers took to streets protesting against the delay in tracing the missing girl. Senior officials of the district administration who reached the spot immediately tried to assure the protestors that all efforts were being made to trace the girl and her alleged kidnapper.
