KATHUA, Sept 5: Provincial Electrical Employees Union (PPEU) District Sub Unit Hiranagar organized a meeting and demonstration in protest against non-fulfillment of pending demands of PDD employees.
The meeting was chaired by P C Sharma, the Provincial President of the union. The employees led by Hardarshan Singh unit President Hiranagar expressed their resentment against the lethargic attitude of the Government in mitigating the employees' issues.
P.C Sharma again raised the issues of PDD employees like Releasing of Technical Grade to the all Matric with ITI Technical employees in terms of SRO 149 of 1973, Provision of proper designation to the employees who are working as L/M , Senior L/M , F/M, Chief F/M , Line Elector, Sr. Line Erector, SBA, Sr. SBA, opening of new EM&RE division at Basohli to reduce the burden of existing EM & RE Division Kathua besides regulation of daily wagers and payment of wages to the need based workers.
Sharma appealed all the employees to remain united for the common cause of the employees.
