| NDF Holds Referral camp at District Hospital Rajouri | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Sept 5: In collaboration with district hospital authorities and partenership with 'save the children, National Development Foundation (NDF organized a one day health check up and referral camp for the people injured in border firing and conflict at Rajouri todsay. About100 people from border villages of Rajouri and Poonch districts participated in the camp. Danish Rana, DIG Police Rajouri-Poonch range was chief guest during the inaugural session whereas Mubassir Latifi district SP was guest of honour. Dr. Abdul Slam senior Orthopedician, Dr Shekhar Sr. Orthopedician and Dr. Rajeev Sharma Ophthalmologist checked the patients. About 30 patients were referred for prosthesis, change of orthosis and surgery. Superintendent district hospital Dr Arun Dharma briefed the gathering about need of such camps for complete treatment of these people. He added that these camps provide a platform to the people of border areas for free health checkups resulting their good health. Rajiv Khajuria chief functionary informed the gathering that NDF is providing livelihood support to the victims of conflict in both the districts and those patients who will be referred in this camp will be linked to other agencies for their advanced treatment free of cost. Mubassir Latifi in his address informed the house that police department is also working for the welfare of these border people and instructed the officers to infprm about such cases in their area so that they can be linked with such agencies. Danish Rana, DIG expressed satisfaction over the working of NDFand appreciated the efforts of 'Save the Children & ECHO' for providing support to the victims of conflict. He said that people living in border areas are facing many difficulties in their day to day life and many of them have been injured on border due to border shelling/ cross firing and mine blasts. He also added that Police Deptt. has also organized such health checkup camp in Rajouri district and soon they are planning to organize another health checkup camp in Poonch district.
