Shopian killings-unidentified slain was Abdullah Haroon of LeT

Srinagar, Sept 9: The unidentified person who was one among the four killed in Shopian shootout on September 7 is believed to be Abdullah Haroon of LeT resident of Multan (Pakistan), however, three others killed in the incident have no previous militant links, the police investigation report has said.
Investigation by Jammu and Kashmir Police in the incident of Gagran, Shopian September 07, 2013 in which four persons got killed and one got injured has revealed that among the four killed, three do not have any previous record of militancy. The fourth, police says is non local looking person without being identified. The unidentified deceased was yesterday evening buried in Degam Nagbal, area. Degam Nagbal, is a small hamlet near the district police lines situated on the banks of Nalla Rambiara.
Sources said that police authorities informed the villagers about the burial of the deceased and the local Awqaf committee arranged a funeral prayer before his unidentified burial.
About the three identified slain persons police sources said, "these three do not have any previous record of militancy in Police record against their persons. The fourth non-local looking person has neither been claimed nor identified by any local. However, the evidence collected from the spot and subsequent verifications suggest that he is Abdullah Haroon of LeT. One pistol, two grenades and a diary were recovered from the spot.
Besides the spokesman further added that police recovered the mobile phone from his pocket contains a video clip showing weapons snatched from police and CRPF personnel in the incidents of Arwani and Awnera Shopian. Further the mobile phone has Dialer/SKIPE software which is available with Lashkar commanders.
