JAMMU, Sept 9: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu today took a detailed review meeting to assess the progress of land acquisition cases falling under NHAI, PMGSY, BRO, Border Fencing besides reviewing compensation to flood affected cases. Threadbare discussion was held on various important issues with regard to land acquisition cases falling under NHAI, shifting of utilities, payment of crop compensation, rent/compensation for mined/de-mined areas etc. Other issues deliberated upon in the meeting included review of action taken report regarding DPs of 1947, 1965 and 1971, status report regarding payment as ex-gratia relief to earthquake victims, payment of compensation to flood affected of August 2013, construction of Niabat building and Patwar Khana, construction of accommodation in the respective tehsil and sub divisional complexes for computerization under NLRMP etc. Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the current status of payment as ex-gratia relief to the earthquake victims and compensation to flood affected of August 2013. Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the resumption of User Free Collection at Raj Bagh Toll Plaza in Kathua district besides construction of temporary Toll Plaza in village Sarore of district Samba. In the absence of user fee collection, it would not be possible to maintain the National Highway as maintenance on completed 4-lane section is to be done through long term OMT (Operation, Maintain and Transfer) contract, which could not be made operational in the absence of User Fee Collection. Shantmanu also instructed DCs for reconciliation of Kissan Credit Cards cases with Banks. He also directed them for early Departmental Promotion Committee meetings. |
