Et Report Jammu, Sept 9: Sarpanches of Panchayat Halaran, Jora Khurd, Jora Kallan, and Panchayat Jia demanded that their panchayats should be included with old block Thathri. While addressing press conference, Sarpanches Halaran Om Raj Bhall, Kalyan Singh of Jora Khurd, Bhushan Kumar of Jora Kallan, and Kuldeep Kumar of Jia said that the public of these four panchayats will have to travel a distance of 20 to 30 Kms on feet to reach the H.Q. of newly created Block and Niabat "Chiralla Bajja" traveling through a thick forest, climbing a hill and then coming down, with no habitation enroute. During summer there is frequent threat of anti-national elements in these days militancy, make the things most worst and vulnerable. They said the distance of previous Tehsil and Block Thathri is by feet 7 to 10 Kms and by Road 32 Kms. They further mentioned that there is no road connectivity to newly created Niabat and Block, even there is no any footpath properly, hence we are demanding that if the Government is serious to provide new niabat and Block to this most backward area, in such situation it should be given at KAHARA MALANOO" which was earlier block of 13 Nos panchayats, and the same is suitable for 13 Nos panchayats from Kahara to Jora Khurd. |
