| Meritorious students crowned with "Tagore Gaurav" award | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Sept 9: Sixty meritorious students from different government schools of classes ranging 9th to 12th standards have been given the "Tagore Gaurav" award by NGO "Tagore Vidyarthi Vikas Sanstha" at Kathua here today. To grace the moment an award distribution programme was organized by the "Tagore Vidyarthi Vikas Sanstha" on which Additional Deputy Commissioner district Kathua was the chief guest and Principal Govt. Degree College Kathua was the guest of honor. On the occasion sixty students from Govt schools of district Kathua of classes 9th to 12th who performed in various competitive exams and activities were honored with Tagore Gaurav award, said Sanjay Sehgal, president of Sanstha. He said that the talented and deserving students can approach the Sanstha to avail the facilities of full assistance in sharpening their talent and skill and even the Sanstha is going to construct Tagore Nekatan in order to manage the facilities for those students who cannot study at their home, can use the option to study in the Nekatan. He also told that the Sanstha has been working in the upliftment of the students of government schools only who are belonging to poor families for the last thirteen years. He said that the Sanstha started it activities by adopting the students from class ninth onwards. While speaking the occasion the chief guest and guest of honor appreciated the activities of Sanstha which are being taken for the welfare of student community. |
