Officials of DYSS Poonch hold meeting

Poonch, Sept 22: A meeting of the Officials of the Department of youth services and Sports District Poonch has been convened under the chairmanship of Nazir Chadank ZPEO at college ground with regard to notification of recruitment policy framed by the department after the lapse of 40 years of its inception. The speakers said that its a matter of great pleasure and satisfaction among the officials of the department that a new recruitment policy has been announced. The speakers loudly express their gratitude and thanks to the department active role in bringing the notification. The speakers said that this is a welcome step and after lot of struggle, the Department finally come out with a policy. They said the official were working in the department faced many difficulties as they were denied promotion and many of the officials retired from the same posts. They appealed that those who are at the helm of affair are again requested to maintain the balance in equal appointments for the promotion as District Officers. The officials whole heartedly welcome the decision taken by the Hon’ble Minister for youth services and sports J&K Govt. Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Tariq Khan, said, “ Its a historic decision taken by the high ups of the department especially the Hon’ble Minister for youth services and sports J&K Govt, Navin Agarwal IPS Director General Youth Services and sports Jammu and the officials of this department are indebted to them” The officials thanked the department for bringing out such a tremendous recruitment policy.

J&K Handball associate left for karur

JAMMU, Sept 22: To participate in the 30th Sub Junior Girls National Handball and 15th Mini boys National Handball championship being held at Karur (Chennai) from 24th to 29th September 2013, a team girls consisting of sixteen members and boys team consisting of ten members of Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association have left for Karur . The teams are accompanied by the Managers Sanjeev (boys) and Bhawana (girls) alongwith Dev Raj Coach of Sports Authority of India. The Secretary General of J&K Handball Association A.K. Raina who is taking keen interest to organize the Handball game in the State on sound footing is confident that the teams gone to participate in the National Championship in which twenty five teams belonging to different States of India are participating, would perform well.



Two days Instructor training camp Organizes Choi Kwang Do Association of J&K

JAMMU, Sept 22: Choi Kwang Do Association of J&K Organized Two days Instructor training camp and General Body meeting held at Gandhi Nagar Jammu on 21st to 22nd Sep. 2013. Camp was commanded by Master Bikram Singh Thappa Chairman of Technical Committee and General Secretary of CHOI KWANG DO FEDERATION OF INDIA Reorganized by SCHOOL GAMES FEDERATION OF INDIA (Under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt, of India & Indian Olympic Association).
General Body meeting held the chair of Dr. Dushyant Choudhary Patron of Choi Kwang Do Association of J&K. Meeting agendas were discussed on futher coming 59th School Games (under 19yrs.) at Chhattisgarh meeting was attend by all Districts Associations President's & General Secretary's during meeting Dr. Dushyant Chyoudhary (Patron) Mukesh Gupta (Sr. President) Kartik Gupta (Vice- President) of the Association to give proposal in front of Master Bikram S. Thappa for hosting of CHOI KWANG DO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP going to be held at Jammu (J&K) in the month of November 2013.

President of Choi Kwang Do Association of (J&K) Brijesh Bhau communicating about the benefite of Choi Kwang Do the primary aim of this camp is to bring the best talent in Choi Kwang Do in to light and expose this art at the National and International level so that more people can take advantage of this art. we also intend to bring various Championships which are to conducted under different categories.

General Secretary of Choi Kwang Do Association of J&K Naresh Chander gave vote of thanks to Master Bikram S. Thappa and All General body members.

Govt.Dental College, Jammu won the final match of IDA Cricket Cup-2013

Jammu, Sept 22: The team of Govt.Dental College, Jammu today won the final match of IDA Cricket Cup-2013 by defeating Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS)at cricket stadium, University of Jammu.
Playing first IDS made a score of 105 in 18 overs with a loss of eight wickets. In reply GDC, Jammu won the match in the 16th over with the loss of six wickets.
Fayaz from GDC was judged Man of the match.
Dr.Dhain Singh Bhau, Director Physical Education was chief guest on the occasion. He said that it is wonderful to see the talent in these budding dentists. He also told that both GDC and IDS colleges are affiliated to University of Jammu and their teams must participate in other games also which are organised by the University so that the best talent comes up. He advised the students of both the dental colleges that playing sports is best method to overcome the stress and remain physically fit in todays world.
Dr.Nikhil Dev Wazir and Dr.Moin were umpires in the match.
In the league match held yesterday evening, the team of Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS) won the match by six wickets by defeating the team of Indian Dental Association staff and faculty members. IDS was chasing the target of 171.
Dr.Rajeev Mengi, Vice-President IDA, Jammu branch and Oral Pathologist at IDS told mediapersons that we will make sure that such events will be organised in near future.
Dr.Bhupinder Singh, Secretary IDA, appealed to the dentists of Jammu province that they should become member of IDA and participate in sporting events and other activities organised by IDA.
Executive Committee of IDA Jammu thanked Dr.Gautam Sharma, Dental Surgeon of University of Jammu for making IDA Cup -2013 a grand success without whose keen interest this tournament would not have been possible.
Other who were present during the match were Jai Bharat and Rajkumar from the Dept of Physical Education.

Waseem guides AG XI to 7-0 win

SRINAGAR, Sept 22: The AG (Accountant General) XI today blanked Court Road Football Club 7-0 to consolidate their position in Division-A football league of DFA Srinagar underway at Polo Ground, here.
All the seven goals were scored by Waseem Yousuf striking in the second, ninth, 19th, 21st, 24th, 46th and 68th minute of the match.
In another Super Division match of the day, Food and Supplies defeated Maharaja Sports by a solitary goal. The only goal of the match came through Waseem in the 55th minute.
Meanwhile, three matches took place in Division-B of the DFA Srinagar league at the same venue today.
In the first match, Bilalia Club defeated Solina-B by two goals to nil. Rayees and Ishtaq were the scorers. The second match won by Burn Hall School, who beat Polo View by four goals to one.
Hashim took the first lead for Polo View in the very seventh minute but only to find an equalizer coming through Fahad in 19th minute. It was followed by three back to back goals in the second half of the game with Amir netting two goals in 45th and 46th minute while Showkat scored in 55th minute.
In another Division-B match, Aluchibagh Club held Alfurqan Club to 1-1 draw.

Anantnag Baseball meet concludes

SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Anantnag Yankees and Frobels Club lifted the boys and girls titles respectively in the Anantnag District Baseball Championship held at Sports Stadium Anantnag.
In the boys’ final, Anantnag Yankees outplayed Frobels by 13-08 homes while girls’ went to Frobels, who defeated Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ranibagh by eight homes to five.
Zonal Physical Education Officer Shangus, MY Parray was chief guest in the finals and prize distribution function, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies.
Among others present were A R Ahanger, M A Khan, Sajad Ahmad Mir and Mohd Iqbal.
Meanwhile, a team of 16 members each in boys and girls section have been selected from Anantnag for the upcoming eighth State Baseball Championships to be held at Srinagar next month.

Egyptian game Introduced

JAMMU, Sept 22: Bhargava Public School, Supwal Samba availed the opportunity to witness the National game of Egypt “Speed Ball” by a group of experienced instructors of “Speed Ball association”. Principal Vivek Arora and administrative in charge Seema Sharma along with the staff appreciated the game and show inclination for the introduction of game in the School. The chief instructor Sunny Nanda impart the knowledge about the art and sport speedball, that the game is helpful in building up sound mental and physical health. Children enjoyed and participated in the event with full enthusiasm as the event includes different style and categories of game. Teachers also tried their hand for Speedball.
