| VK Singh exposes lies of NC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 22: National Conference, which has been looking for an issue to stay politically afloat, has been exposed by former army chief Gen VK Singh.
Singh, who had earlier termed the allegations of toppling State government, had said NC is responsible for the political mess in the State.
Gen Singh, who had served in the Kashmir also, is speaking what is known in the political echelons and also in knowledge of Centre and also central agencies.
National Conference, which has ruled the state for most part, is blamed for all the ills of State not just by political parties but also by separatists. It's the only party which is slammed by separatists, terrorists, political parties and now by the former Army chief.
The so called Sher-e-Kashmir-Sheikh Abdullah- is not liked by people of Kashmir now and his popularity is nowhere on the political scene.
Gen Singh also nailed the bluff of the NC when he said that party allegations as political issue for its survival.
He was right as even before his statement, the NC has started using the report to blame Gen Singh.
NC even went to extent of saying that there is connection between alleged fake Machil encounter and the killing of about 100 people in summer unrest in the valley in 2010.
The fact is that the special army unit, which has been reported in a section of media, was set up before the Machil encounter. Killing had taken place in April 2010 and army unit was set up in May.
It exposes the lies of NC.
Gen Singh had also stated that killings in 2010 summer unrest had started with the death of Tuffail Matoo. The young boy had died in a firing by the police. The Army was nowhere in the firing and it was not involved in any of the incident when state government had utterly failed and its writ was totally crippled.
NC is conveniently trying to avoid this truth and is seeking refuge in the alleged report, which has been rubbished by General Singh, and is now blaming him for helping PDP.
Union minister GN Azad made a sensible statement that earlier report of coup by the same General proved to be false and this time also conclusions should not be drawn till Defence ministry makes any conclusion.
However, NC is drawing conclusion and is thus itself getting exposed. |
