ABVP organizes Sunil Upadhyay Memorial Gyan Prtiyogita

Jammu, Sept 22: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir today organized a state level Sunil Upadhyay Memorial Gyan Prtiyogita (General Knowledge competition) for the students of 9th-12th class at various centers across the state.
In Jammu there were two examination centers i.e. Luthra Hr. Secondary school and Center Basic Hr. Sec. School.
In Jammu, students from various schools which participated in this Gyan Pratiyogita include Lawrence Public School, Hari Singh Hr. Sec. School, Shastri Memorial School, DBN, Light House School, Vidyapeeth, Oriental school, Jain school, Central Basic Hr. Sec. School etc.
Speaking on the occasion ABVP state president Professor Virender Koundal said that the aim of the Prtiyogita is to substantiate competitive temperament of the student.
He further said that by organizing this Prtiyogita ABVP wants to give exposure not only to city students but to the students of far flung areas.
He further informed that ABVP organizes Sunil Upadhyay Memorial Gyan Prtiyogita in the memory of respected Sunil Upadyay who was an active member of ABVP in Jammu and it was his day and night effort and hard work which resulted in the form of strong working network in Himachal Pradesh.
At several places across the state this Prtiyogita was organized at Kathua, Bilawar, Samba, Reasi, Ramban, Udhampur, RS Pura, Doda, Kishtwar, Dudu, Basantgarh etc. whereas total participation across the state was above 6000.
There were two categories of student for this Prtiyogita. For category-1 (9th and 10th) and category-2 (11th and 12th).
There were four sections in the paper and each section was of 25 multiple choice questions i.e. total 100 questions on the topics-General Knowledge, Science, Mathematics and Reasoning. The duration of the test was 90 min.
Result of this Prtiyogita will be declared within 30 days. Three winners from each category will be given cash prizes of rupee 1500, rupee 1000 and rupee 500 respectively and three consolation prizes in each category will be awarded in civic function. Students getting above 60% marks will be given certificate of merits.
The answer key would be displayed ABVP Jammu and Kashmir, ABVP Jammu page (face book).
