 Jammu, Oct 13: Jammu and Kashmir Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha (JKAKRS) today performed Shastra Pooja on the eve of Dussehra festival at Rajtilk Bhawan Purani Mandi Jammu.
According to press release, JKAKRS president Narayan Singh said that the shashtra pooja was performed with 'Havan' by eminent pundits. He further said that it was an old tradition from Ramayan's time that weapons were cleaned on this day to save it from rust, so that these weapons could be made ready for use therefore Shashtra pooja should be celebrated annually by all Rajputs on Dushera day.
BS Jamwal, RS Jasrotda, MS Jamwal, CS Billowaria, MS Katoch, BS Bandral and Virinder Singh were present on the occasion.
