| Ambedkar Vichar Manch pays tribute to Kanshi Ram | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: Baba Sahib Dr Ambedkar Vichar Manch today paid tribute to Kanshi Ram on his seventh death anniversary at Sant Ravi Dass Mandir, Jammu.
The manch recalled the services rendered by Kanshi Ram, how he had started the mission of Dr. Ambedkar and united the Dalit Samaj throughout the country.
Due to his efforts common Dalit knew how Dr Ambedkar played very important role in their life and in India. Through the writing of the Indian constitution he for saw an opportunity before him to take of the interest of Dalits after incorporating provisions for their quick development so as to prove the way of bringing them in the mainstream of the national life.
Speakers of manch said that in the Indian constitution there is provision of reservation but till today quota of reservation still lying in backlog. 63 years have been elapsed but back log is not fulfilled at central as well as state level. In spite of the backlog no special drive has been made for fulfill the same, certain anti reservation thinkers pleaded that it is discriminatory as it infringes upon the general right of equal opportunity.
It is a hollow publicity that the act of reservation stands in the way of the general right of the equality of opportunity of the people as guaranteed by the law of the land. The constitution has since made provision to that effect reservation and other facilities can be provide to the weaker section of society without infringing upon the law of equal opportunity.
On this occasion we appeal to all the persons of the whole society we should fight for equal education system India and for eradication of caste system from the society. We should also act according to the routs conveyed by out great Gurus and Kanshi Ram who had laid down his entire life to fulfill the dreams of Dr Ambedkar. We must stand on our feet and fight as best as we can we can for our rights. So carry on education organize and agitation we assure you a strong nation and society.
