Jammu, Oct 13: The Department of Floriculture today organized farmers' awareness camp at Halqa Panchayat Jandrah in block Dansal.
The awareness program was presided by Director Floriculture Jammu, K.K Sharma and attended by SK Bali, District Floriculture officer, other senior officers of the department, experts on the subject and Anil Sharma, Sarpanch Jandrah Panchayat. A large number of local farmers, youth and other panchayat members of the block Dansal attended the program where KK Sharma, Director asked the farmers and youth to get maximum benefits of different schemes run by Union and State government for the promotion of floriculture which is a fast growing employment generating alternative.
He also briefed the participants that the department of floriculture is already providing assistance to the aspiring farmers who want to grow flowers in their farms. |
