| Dozens injured in school building collapse | | | Kulgam, Oct 13: Dozens including women sustained injuries after a private school building collapsed in Nagam village of Kulgam district were they had gone to enroll themselves under Aadhaar Card Scheme. Reports said that a team from Electronic Communication India limited (ECI) had arrived in Nagam Damhal Hanjipora on Sunday to enrol the residents of the village under Scheme and camped on the second storey of Private School Building. Eyewitnesses told that more than two hundred people thronged there as a result the roof of the building collapsed leaving at least 50 people injured. People including the ECI team fell down into the basement of the building while the computers and lap tops got badly damaged due to the sudden collapse of the building. Soon after the incident a Police party rushed to spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospital. Among them two critical identified as Haneefa Babo wife of Abdul Ahad Khan and Abdul Ahad Malik son of Muhammad Ramzan both residents of Salamkani Nagam were referred to District Hospital Kulgam. |
