| One year imprisonment for criminal assault on woman | | | early times report
Jammu, Oct 14 (JNF): Judicial Magistarte Akhnoor Pawan Kumar Sharma today awarded one year imprisonment and fine Rs 2000/- to Koushal Kumar s/o chuni Lal r/o Manda Tehsil Akhnoor who was facing trial in case of outrage modesty of woman.
According to the facts of the case that on July 23, 2008 victim lodged a report with police that at 8:30 AM when she was alone at her house as her hsuabnd is serving in SSB Shimla, all of sudden accused entered in her house and caugt her chest, she raised hue and cry and few people came on spot, on seeing people accused ran away, on this complaint police registered a case u/s 354 RPC and after completion of investigation challan was presented.
Judicial Magistarte Akhnoor Pawan Kumar Sharma after hearing Senior PO Sarfraz Ahmed for the State whereas Adv DP Gupta for the accused person observed that in present case there is no doubt and reason before this coirt to disbelieve the statement of complainant victim and observed that why should a village lady implicate a man in a false case and awarded one year imprisonment and fine Rs 2000/-.
