Jammu, Oct 14: Police today arrested a youth after recovering a sharp edged weapon from his possession during a naka search at Daljeet Chowk, R.S. Pura, police said. A case stands registered in this regard while further investigations are on.
"A police team from R S Pura Police, during a naka at Daljeet Chowk, R.S. Pura intercepted one pedestrian later identified namely Sanjay Kumar S/o Shiv Ram R/o Jinder Maloo, R.S. Pura, police said.
Police reports said that on his personal search, Police recovered one sharp edge weapon (Toka) from his possession and the accused was taken into police custody.
"A case FIR No 179/13 U/S 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at P/S R S Pura and investigation of the case is going on to ascertain the motive, police said.
