early times report Jammu, Oct 14: As a sequel to the ongoing programme of providing health care facilities to the masses, Mahavir Society for Education and Research (MSER) in collaboration with the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine organized an Ayurvedic Medical Check-up Camp at Talab Khatikan, Jammu. The Department of Indian Systems of Medicine, J&K deputed a team of doctors and pharamacists led by Dr. Ashok Sharma. The team comprised Dr. Manisha Gupta, Dr. Sushma and pharmacists Tara Chand and Nikhil Jagotra. Free medicines were given to the people by the department. Hira Lal Abrol, Chariman, MSER along with Vinod Manhas, Shammi Slathia, Raj Kumar Sodhi, Sandal Sing Slathia and Suresh Bhagat were among those who supported Hira Lal Abrol in his initiative to provide medicare facilities at the door step of the people was instrumental in making the camp a big success as a large number of people in various age groups came forward to get the benefit of camp. The untiring efforts of the team mobilized the people by creating an awareness of the camp in which MSER distributed blankets and milk among them. The Chairman, MSER expressed his gratitude of the Director, Indian Systems of Medicine, Dr. Kabir Dar for his Co-operation, Kiran Wattal, Commissioner JMC for issuing directions to the JMC officials and workers for maintaining cleanliness in the area and also Talat Miaz Qazi, Akram Ahmed Khan, Salim Khan, President, General Secretary and Senior Member of Muslim Federation for placing their resources at MSER's disposal thereby serving the noble cause. He assured the people that MSER would continue to serve the cause by holding such free camps in future as well. |
