| Searches launched after 'suspects' spotted | | | early times report Kathua, Oct 14: Police along with other security forces carried out joint search operation in the Billawar of District Kathua, on Monday following the reports of presence of some suspected persons in the area. However after several hours search the operation turned futile. SDPO Billawar Rafiq Manhas when contacted told that police got information from a local hailing from Kishanpur Duganda, that he had seen four suspected persons, who were passing in torch lights carrying rucksacks nearby his house at about 4.30 am today morning. Following the information security forces were alerted and police along with CRPF and Army carried out search operation in the whole area, which was carried upto 4:00 pm but the searches turned futile. SDPO Billawer also said that after the militant attack at Hiranagar and Samba the security forces are on a high alert and keeping in view the present scenario forces don't want to take any chance whenever such report pour in.
