| CPPWU alleges SSRB selling 'job application forms' at higher rates | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 14: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) today alleged that J&K State Service Selection Recruitment Board has fixed the the application forms for various posts much higher to the expectation of unemployed youths i.e. Rs 400 while adding that majority of the unemployed aspiring youth cannot afford of feel a pinch to purchase the same either from the Banks or from the sale counter. Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) Kishtwar in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari criticized the J&K State Service Selection Recruitment Board for selling the application forms for various posts @Rs 400 which is quite astonishing to many of rural and poor candidates aspiring for the job. He urged upon the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to direct the Chairman SSRB to provide application forms free of cost or at nominal fee of Rs. 50 instead of Rs. 400 which is a burden on the unemployed youths. He also demanded for starting work on the 850 MW Rattle H.E. Project so that the unemployed youths of District Kishtwar could get employment opportunity in the power project besides demanding priority to local unemployed youths on priorities. He also mentioned that despite assurance from the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in his speech has asked the executing agencies of Rattle H.E. Project Drabshalla to provide priority of employment to the local unemployed youths during his recent visit to Kishtwar, but locals youths still have been sidelined. |
