| BJP terms UHM visit an exercise in futility | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Oct 23: BJP district kathua has condemned the visit of union home minister at Hiranagar and said this visit was nothing more than an eye-wash just to befool the affected huge border population. The BJP also demanded the stopping of cross border terrorism and arrangement for a special recruitment rally in border area. While addressing the press conference, BJP senior leader Ranjit Singh termed Shinde's visit as futile service saying that Shinde could not assess the brutal problems of the border area and returned back from Hiranagar. It means the union government is still irresponsible and insensitive towards the border population. This throws the light on the present political scenario in the state under the coalition rule of NC -Congress due to which the entire state is suffering and facing the tremendous ill-effects of misrule, he said. In the press conference he also lambasted on the union government led by UPA for having failed to answer the Pakistan which has been interfering the Indian Territory by conducting the regular heavy firing across the International Border particularly in Hiranagar border area where huge population are living under threats and insecurity. He also highlighted the demands of the area for which the BJP has been struggling since long, such as to provide the compensation to the kith and kins of those families who have lost their lives and benefits under SRO 43 be provided to them. While speaking in the conference the other BJP's spokesperson Narinder Jasrotia, Kuldeep Raj, Ashwani Sharma, Vidya Sagaar, Mukesh Padha, Sagar Duby, Som Raj and Parshotam also raised the pending issues of the border area and demanded to appoint the VDC on the border villages, to equip the border population with arms for security point of view, to adopt the comprehensive and matured measures to provide the permanent protection to the border population. |
