| 5 Nokia dealers swindle worth Rs 2 crore, go under ground | | | Jammu, Oct 23: Police has launched massive manhunt following a complaint that five Nokia dealers who have gone underground after a fraud of worth Rs 2 crore, which they took as advance payment from the Nokia showroom owners in Jammu city. "Nowabad police is looking for five Nokia dealers who allegedly went underground after getting a payment worth Rs 2 crore which they took as advance payment from the Nokia showroom owners in Jammu city, police sources said. According to police sources five Nokia dealers in Jammu identified namely as Sahil Narang of Nanak Nagar, Manmeet Singh, Manmeet Singh, Amir,Zubair and Asif of Janipur have gone underground after having from Nokia showroom owners and have launched manhunt to arrest them. Sources added that following no contact with above mentioned persons, the Show Rooms owners got panicked and then they contacted to the Nokia authorities from where they came to know that they had been duped of crores of rupees as the amount they gave to five dealers yet has not received by the concerned company. Sources said that they were booked under section 420,409 RPC. Sources said that police have also rounded three Nokia Show Room owners who are allegedly involved in a well planed robbery. These Show Rooms have been established at Karan Nagar, Bakshi Nagar and Talab Tillo. "The hunt and questioning of the suspects picked up were on by police till late hours, sources added. |
